HR Manager

Our Client is seeking a Part Time HR Manager for their busy offices based in Co.Mayo


The main purpose of this role is to have full responsibility for the entire HR function


Reports to:

General Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participative member of the management team
  • Manage the recruitment, retention and succession process
  • Provide support to managers & employees in various HR related topics and manage employee relations in a unionised site i.e. disciplinary, grievance, ensuring compliance with employment legislation
  • Coach and development of the management team
  • Responsible for coordinating employee communication
  • Performance management
  • Develop, maintain and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Assist with H&S training, audits etc.
  • Gather & analyse data on monthly KPIs
  • Ensure compliance & best practice in all legislative matters
  • HR administration – employee files and records


  • Relevant qualification in a Human Resources or related discipline, CIPD qualified
  • 3 – 4 years HR experience in a senior role within a SME
  • Experience dealing with ER and IR matters a distinct advantage
  • Good knowledge of employment law

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to relate to senior management and line employees
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to handle complex situations & facilitate difficult conversations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Flexible approach and willing to offer support to the team when required
  • Ability to work on own initiative
