Project Supervisor (ESB Level E Qualified)

Our client is seeking to recruit Project Supervisor to join their team to support the Project Manager/Engineer working on ESB civils projects including substation projects. The Project Supervisor will be responsible for the safe planning and supervision of works on various civil projects and more specifically within ESB sub-stations at various locations through the East and South East of Ireland. 

Main Responsibilities: 

• To promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with ESB safety standards and codes of practice

• To establish and maintain relationships with operatives, Clients & Subcontractors

• Ensure project is delivered in accordance with design requirements

• Support the Project Manager in the handover of the project to client

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations and with company health & safety policy on all sites under control

• Interface with client and supplier designers

• Planning safe system of works and developing method statements

• Issuing Communications/Documents to clients

• Oversee quality control on site for all aspects of the works

• Monitoring and recording progress on site and keeping daily records

• Supervising sub-contractor and specialist works on site

• Liaising with all members of the site teams to ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, technical and commercial aspects

Core Skills:

• ESB Level E Qualification

• Previous experience working on ESB Projects and within ESB sub-stations

• High standards of written communication, verbal, numerical and inductive (ability to deal with ambiguous data) reasoning

• Good standard of verbal communication

• Be able to take a lead role in supervision and management of sub-contractors and operatives on site

• Good problem-solving skills

• Collaborative, and keen to share information, knowledge and skills

• Be able to identify the goals of any project and work towards them

• Able to take a structured and methodical approach to any task, identifying priorities and setting deadlines

Knowledge, Experience and Training

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

• Computer literate Word/ Excel/ Outlook

• Excellent communicator

• Interpersonal skills

• Organisational skills

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead lines
